Parish Community Garden

A beautiful and calming place to visit, reflect and socialise.

Established in 2011, the parish community garden is used for events, hall functions and as a natural learning environment for parishioners and our school children. The garden is open to all, our volunteers are there every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and other times by arrangement.  The garden is a place to relax, unwind, pray, play, be still or busy, learn new skills and try out ideas.

Maintenance and care of the garden is volunteer led - we are always looking for more! All ages and levels of ability are welcome.    There is always things' to do and there is no need to have any experience of gardening.  If you like being outside and like some friendly company please come along and join us. We have volunteers who come weekly, monthly or occasionally and all support is greatly appreciated.

We are currently setting up a new allotment area, this is an open covered space we can use for groups and activities. We have an annual plant sale where we sell plants and baskets to raise funds for the upkeep of the garden.

The garden received an 'Outstanding' award in the 2021 RHS Britain in Bloom event and we are all very proud of everyone who worked hard to make the garden look at its best.

The garden team also arrange events outside of the garden together.  In 2021 we enjoyed a trip out to RHS Bridgewater and in December, Christmas dinner at our local pub, The Vale Cottage.
